15 Steps and Twilight

I'm surprised that 15 Steps was on the end credits of the movie Twilight. I mean...a radiohead song in a teen flick? I was even more surprised that Twilight fans like the song, and Radiohead earned new fans who are most probably into pop/rock or straight forward hard rock. In my mind Twilight fans and Radiohead just do not match. It's good that they do know how to enjoy "weird music". Here's a link for 15 Steps with Twilight scenes.

Sir Paul McCartney of The Beatles said that he likes radiohead a lot. You have good taste Paulie.

Fans of the movie ending up liking the song? I ain't surprised. They might be "conditioned" to like it becoz they want to like everything about the movie, if u get what I mean. Then again... isn't it always labels that get ppl NOT doing something in the 1st place?

As Radiohead is perceived as "different", conformists (which is the general population) will not take the initiative to actually listen to their songs. Even if they do happen to catch a Radiohead track or 2 on the radio, the "alternative" label will cause them to auto-reject the song.

However, being incorporated into the movie Twilight, the song's "label" has been blurred... hence the acceptance by the teeny boppy public.
